I was addicted to this book so much. The plot entailed a teenage boy named Connor and his adventures as bodyguard. Both moving and exciting, I was hanging off the edge of my chair! I would definitely read the next book in the series! I really liked having a window into the President's daughter's life.

This book is filled with action and adventure. For boys there's lots of adventure, for girls romance. it has a high chance of winning, I think

Although the cover makes it look like a 'boy's book', this book is amazing. The plot pieces together perfectly and it has really believable characters, especially Connor the main character. The more it progressed, the more tense it got - this makes it a real plot turner. This book is unique - a child 'buddyguard' is a unique concept.

This book is part of a new generation of stories about child secret services, like Cherub. It is fast paced and fluid. The characters are easy to relate to and their development is perfect. The down side is probably that the next book in the series won't be able to surpass the original so the author must do something special with it. I would recommend this book to teenagers and young adults.

This book was an interesting read as it was packed with action. I wasn't really into action-packed books before this, but now my opinions have definitely changed. Despite portraying some far fetched characters, I enjoyed this book immensely, and it's certainly one of my favourites.

Never judge a book by its cover sums up my opinion. I expected a book just for boys but then I realised how wrong I was! It was full of adventure and excitement, I couldn't put it down! Although, I thought the characters personalities were quite secretive. All in all, a great book.

This book is an adventure about a boy, who is very skilled and talented at boxing. He is recruited to be a buddyguard (a child bodyguard) and then he is assigned a target who he has to protect. His target is the president's daughter. Unfortunately, a terrorist group want to keep her hostage. Will he manage to save her? I recommend this book because it is a thrilling adventure, with some unexpected twists. The cover misleadingly suggests this is a book solely for boys, when it is actually a book for boys and girls. Overall, I think it is a very good book.

An action packed adventure that has a realistic story line. This book about a teenage bodyguard is similar to the Alex Rider series but is special in a way that the story is easier to follow yet still has you thinking and turning the page to find out what happens. This book deserved to be on the shortlist and only just misses out on the five stars because it is so similar to other books.

To be honest, I was a bit put off by the boyish front cover, but you can't judge a book by its cover. This is one of my most favourite books that I have ever read, a book that has so much advanced vocabulary. I especially loved the prank at the beginning! Overall, I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

I think bodyguard hostage was really good, I skipped some bits though, like the bits with the terriost's p.o.v (point of veiw) and skipped straight to the bits of Connor. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. If you are nearly near the end and thinking "oh no"", don't worry there's a good ending and I will definitly be reading the second book that's coming out bodyguard ransom.

This book is fast-paced, fun and fiercely scary at times. Bodyguard Hostage is incredibly like Alex Rider, although I think it is slightly better. You don't need to understand the technical terms for all the types of guns and it is, surprisingly, believable. The style of writing leads you to never get bored and the flow of the book is really smooth and interesting. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it to teenagers.

I really liked the beginning of BODY GUARD HOSTAGE, but, I really didnt enjoy the middle as there really wasn't much going on!! However, it got much better as it grew towards the end. I think this book was probably aimed at boys but when Alicia was introduced it became more girlier.

Oh, I just hated this book, I do think it's naturally for boys, and in some places, it just didn't tell you what was going on, like one bit there was just this man called Hazin and Bazar, and it was untill my friends told me he was in Egypt, I had no idea where he was. But on the positive side, it did get better towards the end.

Connor is amazing at martial arts, and you go through his training with him. He learns that there are different codes - yellow, orange and red. Most people go around in code yellow, nearly completely unaware of their surroundings. Connor must stay in code orange - assess every threat, take in his surroundings, and keep his eyes pealed. If he thinks he is under any threat, he changes to code red - meaning REACT! Flee, attack, run - he must assess it and take the best means of getting out alive. It's inspired me to try to keep in code orange - aware of everything around me. With the President's daughter by his side, Connor must be on special alert!

The beginning of this book was very boring as it was just like: FIGHT! Moreover, they had just escaped from the terrorists, and then another gunnman turned up, so it dragged on for ages.

I thought this was a very descriptive book, with much detail to all the characters. The storyline was always exciting and remained unpredictable throughout the book. The characters had a lot of depth to them and their personalities shone through. Chris Bradford wrote the book well and I liked the way that 2 people told the story. Finally, it was nice to see the characters develop and bond with each other throughout the book. This is definitely a spy series to watch and I can't wait for the sequel!

This book was truly a heartpounding experience! It tells us a story about 13 year old boxing and martial arts champion, Connor. He is confronted by a group of people who tell him the truth about his father's death and that he will soon be following in his footsteps. He soon finds himself protecting the president's daughter. This book was full of drama and heart-racing moments where I thought they were done for! As the book progresses, Connor finds himself being attracted more and more to the president's daughter, who is also being drawn to him. Overall, this story is perfectly suited to teenagers who adore action and adventure. Personally, I loved it and I'm anticipating the release of the next book in what seems to be a thrilling new series. I am sure to be reading more of Chris Bradford's books.

I really enjoyed Bodyguard, as it was a fast-paced thrilling read that was a really in-depth environment when the action was taking place. The scenarios in the book were very realistic and not too over the top. I enjoyed the descriptions of the Bodyguard Hostage's secret agent base. However, the book was very hard it get into the storyline, and was quite confusing in the first couple of chapters.
