This is a good book but it has its faults. The end is very poor. This is because at the end he goes against what he has been rebeling.

The book made me feel happy, because it is funny how they set the ending and also the ways they produced a twist at the end which was really exciting. I want the story to continue because I really want to know the other adventures that happen.I think the book is good enough to win because it makes you keep reading on and it is an unusual book.

This is a book turns everything we know about vampires on its head. Vampires and one family of half vampires make the perfect story with deceit and mystery thrown in to the mix. An incredible story that grips you and won¿t let you go until the tale has unfolded. Pete Johnson has managed to pull off a new interesting story , taking vampires and making them his own. When I first saw the cover I thought it would be like any other vampire story with stakes, garlic and coffins. True garlic and stakes do come to sort things out , the whole prospect of vampires is mainly gone. The story is about a boy called Marcus and on his thirteenth birthday his parents reveal a dreadful secret that Marcus is a half vampire. Then things start to go weird, Marcus gets a fang showing he has started to become a half vampire. Then a relation of Marcus (Ved as he is now called) comes over to help him become a half vampire. Then Ved gets attacked and has to stay in bed. Finally at the end of the book Ved ge

In this book there is a boy called Marcus. At the start he is just an ordinary boy when he turns 13 something is about to change his life forever. Thirteen year old Marcus starts to keep a blog about what is happening in his life, but little does he know his life is in danger... The person that wrote this book is called Pete Johnson.Pete johnson has written lots of other books too. So if you like a funny and scary book then this a book for you. I would also recommend it to children over 10 years of age.

The Vampire Blog is a perfect mix of horror and comedy! The jokes are funny, but not cheesy, and there is enough tension to keep you hooked and reading. At first I took a bit of time to get into it, but after a while I couldn't stop reading it! The twist at the end really surprised me.

You like scary? You like exciting? Then the Vampire Blog is for you! When I originally started reading the Vampire Blog, I presumed it would be scary and I generally don't like scary books. But when I read it I just couldn't put it down! I think it is great for anyone who feels pressured into reading 'scary books' and don't want to, because although it looked scary it wasn't that bad! I strongly recommend this book!

The Vampire Blog was a weird mix between both comedy and horror. Marcus always saw the funny side of everything but I couldn't find a moment in the book when he was serious. I found the book not to be what I expected as it had everything a fantastic book would have. When I first picked up the book I was suprised that Marcus's parents went straight out at him and told him everything that would happen to him. I found the cravings funny but disgusting. Overall a brilliant read which grips you straight away.

A good book which always had a twist around the corner. I felt their wasn't enough depth in the story and Pete didn't really make you feel like you were in the half-vampires position. on the other hand the idea was good and they left the book on an interesting cliff hanger which makes you want to read on.Overall a decent book which has a chance of winning the competition.

I dont think this book was that good it wasn't funny. It was like the author was trying to be 'down with the kids' but just failed. It was like your embarrasing uncle or aunt trying to talk to you about 'growing up' and the whole half vampire thing was a bit half hearted. Someone should have died! Ved was such a rubbish name basically it wasn't very good the plot was non existent. I dont see how the boy changed his mind in a matter of days about how he wanted to be a vampire. Tallulah,s story would have never happened in the first place! Her parents would never let her stay in the woods! I didnt like this book at all!
